Our Story

LaMo Foods & Heritage is more than a food brand—it's a journey of tradition, family, and a passion for authentic taste

Our story began with Godavari Foods, a small pilot venture that operated from 2017 to 2020. It was an opportunity to share the authentic flavours of Andhra with a wider audience. Like many small businesses, the journey came to an unexpected pause during the COVID-19 pandemic.

But the dream never faded.

At the heart of our story is Mrs. Lakshmi, who has spent decades perfecting the art of making traditional pickles and spice powders. Her recipes are not just family recipes—they are the result of continuous learning and refinement. She inherited timeless culinary wisdom from her mother, mother-in-law, sisters, and sisters-in-law, each belonging to traditional Telugu Vaishnavite families renowned for their home-style cooking. Her culinary journey was further enriched by the experiences of her husband, Mr. Mohanadas, whose transferable job took the family across many parts of India. Living in different regions allowed Lakshmi to experience diverse cuisines, ingredients, and cooking techniques, helping her blend the finest practices while staying true to the authentic taste of Andhra. Today, LaMo Foods & Heritage carries forward that legacy. Every pickle, podi, coffee blend, sweet, and traditional delicacy is prepared with the same care, authenticity, and commitment to quality that has been nurtured over generations. Our mission is simple: to bring the rich culinary heritage of Andhra and South India to every home, preserving tradition while sharing it with future generations. LaMo is our tribute to family, heritage, and the timeless joy of sharing authentic food made with love. This is our story for LaMo.
